IAS

"IAS" (It's Always Something) read Carlton's shirt when I stopped by his house tonight. Very appropriate for today!

It's been a bit of a day, to say the least. Classes were weird at school because it was the last day of the semester and we were the only high school in Durham having regular school. Plenty of kids decided to take an extended weekend, and the kids that did show up were either making up exams from earlier in the week, or pouting and complaining about being forced to go to school "for no reason". There was some sort of issue to come up in every class, from not having enough kids in some groups to rehearse to DVDs freezing 8 times in a row before we gave up on trying to watch.

And to top it all off, Tony was involved in his first (hopefully ONLY) hit and run car accident! When I drove to meet him, I saw about 5 accidents along the stretch of road. Apparently people were in quite a rush to get to wherever they were going and stopped paying attention to stopping traffic. So, the new Rav4 is now a little cracked up and the To Do List just got a little longer...

It's times like these that we wonder about what happened to some humans to make them such jerks. What possesses someone to tear off after smacking into another person's car?? Really?? It's so disheartening to know that there are people like that in this world. Can you believe that the guy that hit the girl behind Tony drove off, too?!? (They had a party to go to and didn't want to wait around to file a police report for an accident that they caused. Ugh. ) At least she got the tag number on that car!

But, while we're bemoaning our sad car, at least we can look forward to a little snow tomorrow! Keep your fingers crossed for at least a few inches!

snow sucks even more when they promise 3 inches and you get rain until 2:30pm in the afternoon and the snow barely accumulates to 1 inch!
