For those of you whose only knowledge of Duke University is the despicable "Duke Lacrosse" scandal, here's some info about the institution in which my amazing cousin will be enrolling in the fall.
- Duke University seeks to admit students who have achieved great success in high school, who seek challenges and are open to new ideas. Admissions are considered to be highly selective.
- US News & World Report ranked Duke University #8 in the nation for 2008.
- Duke has also ranked in the top 30 universities in the world.

- Distance between our house and Duke campus - 6.5 miles, 15 minutes
- Distance between my job and Duke campus - 2 miles, 5 minutes
- Number of months till Megan moves to D-town - 7 months
- Level of our excitement at having Megan so close - ECSTATIC!!

We are so excited, too! Megan will be only 2 1/4 hours from us. So, it will be easy for us to enjoy her company. Surely, she will want to party with her aunt and uncle instead of with fellow students! :) We love you, Megan!
