Christmas Wrap Up

Christmas at home was wonderful this year.  We were able to comfortably spread out gift opening, sleep in our own beds, and enjoy very relaxed days.  It was a pleasure to have my parents here, too.  Since they left, we've been trying to clean up and prepare for the New Year, but it has been slow going.  We're almost done putting away decorations, but the actual cleaning has been delayed by other work/housework, family time out and about, and car troubles.

Round 1:
In the week preceding Christmas, we went to the Gorskis' fun Polar Express Pajama party, and started opening gifts from out of town family.
I love that these kids have known each other since birth and love each other so much!

Round 2:
Mom & Dad came on Friday, we opened a few more presents on Christmas Eve, then had our exciting Christmas morning when Santa came!

The kids tried licorice for the first time. This was their reaction.

Santa brought Abbie the collector pack of Trolls and some books to go with them.

Santa brought Jason a cool new 2-wheel scooter.  Grandma & Grandpa got him an awesome helmet!

I got a new lawn mower.  Jason preferred the box!

Round 3:
We finished off Christmas with a visit to Hill Ridge Farms for their spectacular light display and some free play time for the kids.  They got really good at barrel racing!

Round 4:
On Tuesday, we had a lovely salmon dinner with our favorite Alaskans (the Gorskis, including Jamie's parents).

We took some time away from our work and clean up efforts to explore the Greensboro Science Center
