Birdhouses

Last weekend, Tony came up with such a cute project for the kids.  He wanted to help them make birdhouses to put in our back yard.  We have an iron post that's used for hanging plant baskets, and decided to use it for hanging birdhouses instead.  I convinced Tony that building the houses might be a bit much, so while we were on our weekend walk on the trail (which now goes over I-40 and to the mall and connects to a big shopping center), we stopped in at Michael's and found some cute little birdhouses that were already built.  Abbie picked out paint colors, and the kids painted their own with Tony.  I think they turned out really well!  It's also nice to have some color in our winter-bare landscaping.
