What's New?

Let's see... I already told you about our new playgroup.  We had another fun gathering yesterday.  Here's what else is going on:
  • Abbie got a haircut.  It's shorter than intended due to a bad cut on the first round, but super-cute now that it's all evened out.  I'll have to take a picture to post!
  • Jason is trotting.  It's not quite running, but getting very close.  Some folks have told me lately that he has a very distinctive walk.  I happen to think it's adorable (I'm not biased or anything!).  It makes him look sweet and innocent.  Note: I said LOOK sweet and innocent... I happen to know the real truth... he's sweet but devious.
  • Abbie's singing is improving.  She's matching pitch more and more.  She even sang all by herself (loudly) in a call-and-response song with the teacher at their music class last week.
  • Jason is eating salad.  He often finishes it off before other parts of his meal.
  • Abbie loves brushing her teeth.  Dr. Gary must have done something right at her last dental appointment!
  • Jason is experimenting with the potty.  There is absolutely NO expectation that this will translate into potty training anytime soon (his lack of spoken language and unwillingness to be cooperative would be extremely unhelpful), but he has peed in it twice and LOVES sitting on it.  He even likes to bring over a stool to prop his feet up... it's important to be comfortable, ya know.
  • Tony has a new office!!  How could I have forgotten about this?  He's finally working with a group of great guys, a fantastic assistant, and has a nice office that's closer to home.  A VERY welcome change!
  • I joined the board of my choir as Music Chair.  I'm excited to be more involved in the organization.
  • The kiddos have been acting more like brother and sister lately.  They love to play and snuggle together in Abbie's bed, even under the sheets.  They play games together in the bath and spin around and play fake tug-of-war together in the living room several times a week.  It's really fun to watch.
