I can't believe it's been 8 weeks since Abbie was born. Life is completely different now (and there's no going back... not that I'd want to)!
Thursday was our first "play date". Three of us who used to sing in Cantari ended up having babies within 2 weeks of each other. So, we got together to catch up and meet each other's babies last week. It was great to get out and socialize, and especially reassuring to know that other people are going through the same trials I am with a new baby. We hope to make these get-togethers a monthly occurrence!

We spent the 4th at our new weekend vacation home... the Deiberts' house (so named since we've spent the last 3 weekends there!). Tony, Jason, and Dominic did the Firecracker Ride in the morning, and we all hung out for a nice cookout lunch afterwards.

Thanks to a more carefree attitude, and some cloudy weather, Tony and I had a fairly unproductive and relaxing weekend. We have some chores to catch up on this week, but I think it was worth it! Today, I managed to get downtown and pick up Abbie's birth certificate, but the rest of the day has been a bust so far. I hope to carve out some time to just lie down and read my book, since it's due back to the library on Wednesday! The rest of the "To Do's" can wait 'til tomorrow...
