Time for a reality check...
I am now officially on bed rest... forever... well, until week 36, which is another 13 weeks away! I didn't post on this earlier because I was so convinced that the "let's start with one week" phrase that the doctor delivered to me on Jan. 28 was for real. I was futilely optimistic that I would go back and everything would be fine and I would go back to work. NOPE! I am out of work for the rest of the school year and restricted to my bed and the couch until May.
So, it's been a week and a half now. I have spent it sleeping a little, freaking out about work a lot, watching Season 3 of House on DVD, talking on the phone, reading books, and driving Tony crazy. Tony has tried to bring work home so that he can be around to keep me company and make me stay in bed. I think I probably make it difficult for him to work, though.
I've also had the pleasure of having friends over... folks came to celebrate the announcement of our baby's sex, Laura B spent the weekend, Amy and Emily came over for lunch on Thursday, and Chris and Hope came by today with their baby, Maddie. Chris was an extra help, checking out my wireless router and getting our baby dresser upstairs with Tony.
My wireless internet now works!! I will now be able to use my laptop to shop for baby products and recipes for Tony to make, blog and facebook stalk, and more! I doubt I'll be able to get too bored for a while now. Oh yes, did I mention I officially joined Facebook? Cindy prompted the move, and I figured I've got the time for it now. But, I'll keep blogging, too.
So, other than having a sore back and neck from being in the prone position 23 hours of the day, I'm doing OK. I'll surely have more updates on my bedridden condition as the time passes. Pray for me not to get too fat whilst I lounge the days away!! :)

hey... if it makes you feel any better, i would LOVE to be on bedrest until may as a break from work and am jealous you have all this time to read and relax... :) you definitely will miss it when baby comes. please let me know requests of some things to cheer you up and help you pass the time... book requests? dvds?
You'd get over the "break" when your neck started hurting from being smashed in a pillow all day!! :-p
Anyways... book suggestions are definitely in order! My grandma sent me a list, but I'd love your thoughts, too!
First, congratulations on your little lady! That's so exciting!
I know it's hard, but really, just use this time to relax. We were blessed by a very easy (and HUGELY FAT) baby, but it's still very tiring. Soak up the rest and take care of yourself. Your little girl is only going to care about getting loved on whenever she arrives. Everything else will get taken care of.
