- First time I've ever experienced a "mysterious disappearance" of a co-worker
- First time I've had to jump in at the last minute to conduct a show (found out at 4:30pm that I was conducting the 7:30pm show)
- First time I've ever worked with the pit (at 6:50pm tonight)
- First time I've ever conducted any pit for a musical
- First time I've ever conducted band instruments at all!!
And, with all of these firsts, I'd say that Crazy For You came off pretty darn well tonight. We had a few scares, a few messed up entrances from singers and a few wacky tempos from the pit... but I don't think Gershwin would disapprove too much given the circumstances... Big THANKS to a very supportive group of co-workers and students who helped me get through this!
Two more shows to conduct tomorrow... Here's hoping each one gets a little better! :)

Can we say multi-talented? I think we certainly can!! :o) Glad you and your ensemble (hope that's right...) rocked the house. You can update your resume now, hehe.
I should definitely update my resume!! The Saturday matinee show was definitely our best ever, and Saturday night wasn't horrible... except when the amp for the bass and two keyboards blew a fuse in the finale!! :)
that's awesome! good job! can't wait to see you, too! :)
