They say every kid is different. Boy are they right! Jason began potty training himself several weeks ago, before turning 2. Not wanting to let the window of opportunity pass us by, but afraid to potty train a child who can't even speak intelligible words, I finally took away daytime diapers on Wednesday. It was a completely different experience from potty training Abbie. No stress. Seriously. No stress.
Today was day three and he only had one pee accident all day (and it was understandable considering how much fun the kids were having). Number 2 is a different story, but I know from experience to be patient with this one, and since we now have his lactose sensitivities under control, it's not such a big deal.
The only problem I have now is a very creative little boy who is trying to use every last drop of pee as an excuse to go potty AGAIN instead of going to BED! He went so far as to run into the corner of his room by the door tonight (after 3 potty visits) and squeeze as hard as he could then yell "PA" (potty) to try to get me to let him out of the room. Thank goodness he still sleeps in a crib. I eventually just put him there and called it a night. Lord help us when he switches to a big boy bed!
