Thanks to the folks that have reached out with understanding and support for the trying times we're having over here. We did manage to have a couple of much better days, including a trip to the Museum of Life and Science and a fun playgroup at Bull City Craft and Local Yogurt.
It's always helpful to be out and with others... until the kids act up and I feel like everyone is watching! Although, today when I was carrying Jason like a sack of potatoes to the car because he wouldn't comply, another parent at the preschool said, "I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has to do that!"... definitely made me feel better!
While I've been doing a good job of keeping my cool and it has had relatively positive effects on the kids, today wasn't exactly the greatest. I got hit in the face more than once by both children during tantrum episodes. Not sure which one of them came up with this idea, but it was NOT cool. Elmo is babysitting them right now while I rest for a minute. Don't judge.
On Thursday, we are going to join a bunch of other local mothers, most of whom I've never met, and their kids for a playdate and Valentines crafts. Sure hope the kids show their best sides for this one!
