Princess Abbie

Can someone please tell me WHEN my daughter became a PRINCESS??  It came on slow and I thought it was under control, but suddenly the whole thing has blossomed into full-out royalty.  She literally believes that she is a princess.  Usually, it's Rapunzel from Tangled (thanks Grandma and Grandpa for that one -- we've seen it at least 7 times in the last month).  Occasionally, it's Aurora from Sleeping Beauty (we haven't even SEEN this movie!), or Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, and at school she often dresses as Snow White.
Abbie's teachers say that she spends every day at school in costume.  Sometimes she changes 3 times in the 3 hours she's there.  These days, Abbie spends almost every waking moment dressed in a princess dress (she wore the one from Santa for 7 days straight!) and/or skirt, plus a crown, and sometimes a necklace, tights, and high heels.  Recently, Abbie also discovered that Mommy knows how to braid hair, so she now wears double french braids (similar to Rapunzel's giant braid).
I'm not sure how long this craziness is going to last.  It's sort of fun to live in a fantasy world every day (especially since we've been mostly cooped up in the house the past week -- more on that later), but it's definitely a struggle convincing Abbie that she can't go out completely decked out every time we leave the house.  I don't mind her wearing a princess skirt to the store, but regular clothes are a must for school and playgrounds.  I'm hoping I can at least capitalize on her wishes to be a princess and convince her that she should BEHAVE like a princess, too!
