I really wasn't sure this was going to happen this year. Part of me thought there would be an adorable boy on the swim team next year rocking freestyle with his head firmly propped out of the water. I realized early this summer that no amount of money or swim lessons could make Jason out his face in the water, and I was right. Just being in the water and playing with his sister and friends, who love to swim, has helped Jason become comfortable. Yesterday was the first time that I felt like Jason was fully comfortable in the water. No screaming or whining, just playing, jumping, and real swimming!! I can't wait for him to learn some real strokes now, so he can keep up with Abbie!
