Happy New Year!

The new year flew in with a rush! I'm hoping it will slow down soon, but with the rush, we've also done quite a bit!
We rang in the new year with our good friends, The Gorskis and The Marinos.
I couldn't believe Abbie stayed up until the ball dropped!

That weekend, we took down all Christmas decorations, and I painted our master bedroom.

This past week, Abbie attended Camp MusArt, where she tried out the violin and ukulele, played piano, sang, and made lots of artwork. She loved it!

Jason returned to school and was "The Rockstar" on the first day back. That meant he was the line leader and got to bring something for "show and share". Since the letter of the week was B, Jason brought a book and read to his classmates. Such an exciting time as he is learning to read!

This weekend, we are having a family mini-vacation at Great Wolf Lodge. We have played MagiQuest (a scavenger hunt at the resort), gone to the indoor water park, and had dinner with my parents.  The big news of the trip is that Jason conquered his fear of water slides. He is now riding them like a champ and having so much fun! It's great to be able to take these little vacations to make memories together.

I'm really looking forward to a great year, hopefully more relaxing than last year!
