I've been dying to write an update for over a week, but life keeps getting in the way. Since I'm still up, after monitoring yet another night terror with Jason, I'll toss these out there. Wish I had pictures to go along with them, but alas, no.
1. Abbie has moved up 2 levels to a new literacy group at school. Her reading is taking off exponentially, and I'm thrilled with her progress. While her school does not give formal tests in Kindergarten, she had her first two spelling assessments recently and got 100% correct! I'm so proud of her! I remember loving spelling as a kid (still do), so I hope she takes after me on this one.
2. Jason had his teeth cleaned for the first time at the dentist office. After a failed attempt 6 months ago, and much bribing, and almost leaving the office again this time, he finally agreed to let Kim clean AND polish his teeth. Dr. Gary was fantastic with him as well, and pronounced him cavity-free!
3. I got an iPhone last Thursday. Am trying really hard not to be addicted to it. I've turned off most notifications, and continue adjusting the settings to keep myself from feeling the need to look at it constantly. I resisted for a very long time (my flip phone is almost 6 years old), but being stuck away from home for many hours, sometimes all day, I'm hopeful that having this new gadget will allow me to get more work done throughout the day and be able to relax once in a while in the evenings. Plus, maybe I'll take more pictures of the kids to post here! :)

Welcome to the iPhone club! I, too, was a bit wary when it came as a perk with the job, but definitely appreciate it now for doing things quickly (and with one hand, while nursing). Dictating texts is helpful, too!
Abbie, way to go!
Jason, the dentist is your friend - I went this week too!
Laura, set up your voice mail so I can bug you even when you don't answer
