Would you believe that we applied to 8 (yes EIGHT) schools for Abbie to attend Kindergarten? A combination of being dissatisfied with our neighborhood school, not knowing what style of school might fit Abbie best, and being worried about our chances of getting in to our favorite school(s), led to this craziness.
We narrowed the choices down to about 4 after having sent in all applications, and so far, Abbie has been accepted to 1. She was wait-listed at another, but the tuition is high, and we plan to give up our waitlist spot there. So now, we wait for the lottery results at two more schools, expected in late March.
It has been quite a stressful process. I'm glad to know, though, that we have at least one good option for Abbie. At this point, I don't know if I wish for acceptance by lottery at the other schools, or not... maybe it would be easier to not even have to make a choice!
