Yesterday was absolutely perfect... a summer day that will be difficult to top. In the morning, I painted the front porch railings, column, and door frame, while the kids played in the backyard with the neighbor's little girl and Tony. In the afternoon, Abbie and Tony set up the tent, then she and I shopped for food for our cookout. When Jason got up from his nap, we all headed to the pool to play for an hour or so.
In the evening, we grilled fancy hotdogs...
then the kids painted on the deck...
and we had S'mores for dessert.
Then, Abbie and had our first camping adventure in the backyard.
We read about 8 bedtime books and had fun making silly faces before the sunset...
and after the sunset...
until we finally got to sleep sometime after 9:40pm.
See? Quite the fun-filled day! Abbie especially loved the camping and is anxious to do it again. We're leaving the tent up just in case there's another opportunity soon.
