Celebrations

The last week and a half has been full of celebrations!  We had several celebrations of Abbie's 3rd birthday, attended a party for Kaylee's 3rd birthday, and had a full day (and more) of graduation celebration for my cousin, Megan.  It has been busy, but thoroughly enjoyable.

On May 5th, we hosted a backyard birthday party for Abbie, complete with hot dogs, cupcakes, Sesame Street tatoos, and fun on the swing set.
That afternoon, we went to Kaylee's birthday party.  They had delicious food, a tent furnished with toys in the living room, and an awesome wind tunnel to crawl through, made with a sheet, duct tape, and a fan.  Abbie thought it was seriously fun!

Jason had a great time playing with Emma, too!

On May 6th, my parents and grandma came up to visit, celebrate Abbie's birthday, and attend my choir concert.  By the way- the choir concert was awesome.  I was overwhelmed by how many friends and family of mine came to see it.

We had a nice breakfast on Abbie's real birthday (May 10th) with a few little presents and lots of balloons.  The biggest hit was the princess towel!  I also sent in powdered sugar donuts to Abbie's preschool class, and apparently the kids LOVED them (and were off the wall for the rest of the morning... but the teachers didn't seem to mind).

On Saturday night and all day Sunday, we celebrated Megan's graduation from Duke.  Actually, it's a little sad, because we've gotten used to having her around, and now she's moving to Australia and we won't see her for a really long time.  The weather held out for most of the graduation events, but decided to rain right when we set out the BBQ.  But, the intimate indoor environment opened the door for some super-fun-and-crazy times with the family, so I'd say it turned out pretty perfect anyway!

"Go Duke" spelled on Depends...

Abbie performed Do-Re-Mi from The Sound of Music for everyone.

thing got crazier as the evening went on...
