I went on my Wednesday Ladies' Ride tonight in Cary as usual. I met up with a girl that I met a few weeks ago and we had nice ride together, along with the other ladies. At first it seemed like there wasn't much good karma on the ride -- the group kept getting split by red lights, a girl got a flat around mile 4 (of 30), and it was HOT... like no breeze, sweltering 93 degrees HOT.
So, in comes the good karma (see title for clue)...
Along the way, Ron (one of the ride leaders) discovered a stray kitten, only a few weeks old, on the side of the road and went back to pick her up. He kept her inside his jersey while riding and even while he waited on the side of the road with a girl that over-heated and had to be driven in. Hearing that Ron had picked up a precious kitten, a couple of us hung out after the ride to see it. Ginger, another rider, was really interested in the kitty (as was I... though i don't yet have permission to get a new kitty), but she couldn't take it home tonight. And Ron didn't have stuff at home for a kitten. So, guess who's babysitting the kitten... that's right... ME (and Tony, who graciously welcomed her in tonight)! The plan is to just keep her for a few days until Ginger can take her, but you better believe I'll beg to keep her if Ginger decides she can't take her!

ok...straw hat - NO. Besides, I can have no envy when I get to snuggle with a baby kitty all night! But, I do have a really cute magenta leopard print hat you could borrow if you want to update your classy wardrobe!!

Hmm, I think that you have a kitty now. From what I heard about Tony in college, I think he has a kitty now too. Yeah, a new kitty!! Name? You could call him/her "M"
