Abbie began 1st grade today. She now goes to Highcroft Drive Elementary, very close to our new house. There is a dedicated bus route just for out neighborhood, which picked her up around 8:50am and brought her home close to 4:00pm. According to Abbie, school went great. She made a friend and enjoyed the work they did in class.
And, if you're wondering why in the world she is starting school in July... year-round schools are a big thing here, and hers happens to be year-round, at least through this school year. She will attend school for a couple of months, then have a few weeks off, cycling through until the end of next June.
